The word bouquet comes from the Old French term meaning "clump of trees." Because it would be difficult for a bride to lug a clump of trees down the aisle at her wedding, thankfully the word now means "a small bunch of arranged flowers." A petite bouquet (also called a Nosegay or a Tussie-Mussie) is a small flower bouquet, typically given as a gift. They are very popular with formals, especially in the south, and ours come with a glass vase (in water) to keep it fresh until picture time!
